how our happy place was born

tackling the worry monster

We have so many friends and family members who have navigated anxiety and other mental health challenges during their lives. When our family was directly impacted, we started doing research in a flailing attempt to determine what to do next. We couldn’t locate much that helped but were lucky to find a network of people who supported our family and showed us the way forward.

Our Happy Place was born out of the desire to help other families navigating the same challenges — to make it easier to find supportive tools and hopefully a little less chaotic to steer through the storm.

Founded by my ten year old son and me in 2019, Our Happy Place is a non-profit dedicated to supporting children, families and educators who are navigating the escalating wave of childhood anxiety. We put tools in the right hands, elevating the best resources, and are hopeful that as a society, we can re-frame the way we think about mental health.

With love,

Stacey
